1.1. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains what data the FreeWorld mobile app (the “App”) and its servers (together, the “Service”) collect and how the data is processed. The Policy is based on the Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection” and, for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1.2. Data controller (the “Operator”): Individual Entrepreneur Tako Gogitidze, identification number 61001087788, legal address: Georgia, Batumi city, Luka Asatiani street, N 49. Email: support@freeopenworld.com.
1.3. FreeWorld is a free VPN service supported by advertising. The App does not ask for your name, phone number, email address or an account: the device is registered anonymously.
1.4. By installing and using the App you confirm that you have read this Policy. Some processing (approximate location) happens only with your separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
2.1. Device and app data: a random installation identifier and a public device ID (shown in the App), a hash of the Android ID, device model, Android version, App version and signature, device modification (root) indicators, key storage type, interface language and time zone.
2.2. Technical connection data: IP addresses from which the App contacts our servers, connection and disconnection times, session length, amount of traffic sent and received, latency (ping) to servers, the selected VPN server and connection errors.
2.3. Ad data: ad impressions, clicks, skips and errors.
2.4. Approximate location — only with your consent: country, coordinates rounded to 0.01° (about 1 km, “city level”), the source and time of the fix. Location is determined only while the App is open, never in the background. Only the latest value is stored.
2.5. We do not collect or store: the content of your internet traffic, your browsing or DNS history, messages, contacts, photos or files.
4.1. Performance of a contract (providing the Service at your request) — for the data in 2.1–2.2.
4.2. The Operator’s legitimate interest in protecting the Service and in showing ads that keep the Service free — for 2.1–2.3.
4.3. Your consent — for approximate location (2.4) and for ad personalization by ad networks. Consent is given in the App and can be withdrawn in “Settings → Share location” or in Android system settings.
5.1. The App includes the advertising SDKs of Google AdMob (Google LLC) and Yandex Advertising Network / AppMetrica (Yandex LLC). When an ad from one of these networks is requested or shown, the network receives device data, the advertising ID, IP address and ad interaction data on its own, under its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, yandex.com/legal/confidential. Location tracking by the Yandex ad SDK is turned off in the App.
5.2. You can opt out of personalized ads and reset your advertising ID in Android settings (“Google → Ads” or “Privacy → Ads”).
5.3. The VPN runs on partner infrastructure (VPN servers and hosting). Partners receive only the technical data needed for the connection.
5.4. The Operator does not sell personal data. Data is disclosed to public authorities only where the applicable law expressly requires it.
6.1. Data is kept no longer than needed for its purposes or required by law. Location is stored only as the latest value and is deleted when you withdraw consent or reinstall the App.
6.2. VPN access keys are delivered to the device encrypted and kept in the Android keystore. All communication with our servers uses HTTPS.
6.3. The servers of the Service and of our infrastructure partners are located in different countries, including member states of the European Union. When data is transferred across borders, the Operator applies the safeguards required by the Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection” and the GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
6.4. Despite these measures, absolute security of data sent over the internet cannot be guaranteed. A VPN is not a tool for complete anonymity.
7.1. You may: get information about how your data is processed; ask to correct, restrict or delete it; withdraw consent; object to processing based on legitimate interest; get a copy of your data and, where applicable, have it transferred to another controller.
7.2. To exercise your rights, write to support@freeopenworld.com and include your device ID (the “ID” button on the App’s main screen) — without it we cannot find your data, because we do not know your name or email. We reply within 10 business days.
7.3. Deleting your data. Send your device ID with the request “Delete my data”. We delete the data linked to that device within 10 business days, except data we must keep by law. Uninstalling the App stops data collection; after a new installation the device is registered again and previous location data is reset.
7.4. You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia or, if you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, with the data protection authority of your country.
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (in the European Economic Area — under the age set by national law, but not above 16). If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
The Operator may update this Policy. A new version takes effect when published at freeopenworld.com/privacy. We will tell you in the App about material changes that affect consent.
